Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP) Research

A new state of matter "Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP)" at extreme conditions; high temperature and high density is experimentally studied at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at European Organization for Nuclear Study (CERN).

Utilizing the unique particle identification and triggering capabilities of PHENIX experiment at BNL-RHIC and ALICE experiment at CERN-LHC, various collective properties of QGP as well as partonic interactions inside QGP and their interplay are investigated.
